1. Contracting party
Calum Bowden, sole proprietor trading as Meetmarket, Kluckstraße 25 c/o Trust, 10785 Berlin, Germany. USt-IdNr.: DE345472778. Email: info@meetmarket.io.
2. What your contribution supports
Your contribution is a voluntary contribution (Schenkung) to fund the development of Meetmarket. It is not a purchase, a pre-order, or a payment in exchange for guaranteed delivery of any product or service.
In recognition of your support, we intend to provide thank-you benefits as a Founding Member. These benefits are voluntary expressions of our gratitude, not goods or services sold to you. While we plan to deliver them as described below, delivery is subject to the continued development and operation of Meetmarket and is not contractually guaranteed.
Intended thank-you benefits for all Founding Members:
Access to the founders community. We intend to send a single-use invite link to the private founders community by email within 24 hours of payment confirmation. Governance participation (voting on branding, features, and Scene Fund allocations) takes place within this community.
Founding Member recognition. We intend to display a Founding Member badge on your Meetmarket profile (non-transferable) and to honor a locked-in subscription rate for Founding Members on your account. Your founding rate stays locked for as long as you stay subscribed. If you ever cancel, re-subscribing will be at whatever the current price is.
Membership features. Founding Members receive access to membership features (advanced filters, multiple albums, unlimited messaging) as they ship. The updated web app is currently planned for July 2026; the native iOS/Android app is currently planned for September 2026.
Tier-specific thank-yous:
T-shirt. We plan to ship in Q3 2026.
In-person experiences. Higher tiers include a Berlin team dinner or Berlin day tour, which we plan to deliver by end of 2026.
3. What this is not
4. Contribution processing
Your contribution is processed via Open Collective and Stripe. Payment is complete when Stripe successfully confirms the transaction, after which you will receive a confirmation email. Contributions are subject to the goodwill refund policy in section 6.
5. Nature of contribution
Your contribution is a voluntary contribution (Schenkung) under German law. It is not a tax-deductible donation. It is not a commercial purchase, pre-order, or distance sales contract for goods. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights under EU Directive 2011/83/EU do not apply to voluntary contributions of this nature. We do, however, offer voluntary goodwill refunds as described in section 6.
6. Goodwill refund policy
As contributions are voluntary contributions (Schenkung), there is no statutory refund right. We voluntarily offer the following goodwill refunds:
Change of mind. Full refund within 14 days of contribution if you change your mind — no reason needed.
Non-delivery. Pro-rata refund if Meetmarket ceases operations before delivering announced thank-you benefits.
T-shirt. Refundable until shipped.
In-person experiences. Non-refundable.
Refund requests: email info@meetmarket.io. Refunds are processed within 14 business days via the original payment method.
Chargebacks. Please request a refund directly from us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card provider. Chargeback fees are deducted from campaign funds intended for Meetmarket's development. We process goodwill refunds quickly and in full where eligible — contacting us first is always faster and ensures the campaign isn't penalized twice.
7. Delivery commitments
Meetmarket intends to deliver Founding Member thank-you benefits on the following indicative timelines. These are good-faith estimates, not contractual delivery dates.
8. Acceptable use of community
9. Governance
Founding members participate in governance through the founders community. This includes voting on app branding, software features, and Scene Fund allocation decisions as outlined in the campaign FAQ. Governance participation is non-economic and does not constitute equity or securities.
10. Liability
Meetmarket is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Liability is limited to the amount contributed. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or for damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, in accordance with German law.
11. Termination
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
German law applies. Disputes are resolved in Berlin courts.
EU buyers may also use the European Commission Online Dispute Resolution platform: https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
13. Changes to these terms
We will notify you by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance.
14. Privacy
Your personal data is handled per our Privacy Policy. See also our Impressum.
